Come Visit Punakaiki

This 3 hour trip will take you to one of the defining places of the West Coast.. This is where the stunning Nikau and Rata forests of the Paparoa National Park meets the treacherous but spectacular  Tasman Sea. Dolomite Point is the home of the Pancake Rocks where the sea, wind and massive geological change have shaped the landscape creating fascinating stacked limestone rocks that the sea has eroded creating blowholes.

Your tour leaves Greymouth and heads along the Coast Road, in itself a beautiful part of the tour. The road weaves around cliffs and into gorges where miners for over a century have worked for both gold and coal, and remains always in view of the sea and spectacular coastline.

 

 

 

Our small groups allow us to stop regularly for photos or maybe a quick stroll on the beach.. If time allows we will include one of the other magical short  walks such as the Truman Track or the Pororari River.

Departure Times 9.00 to 9,30 am and 2.00 to 2.30 pm.

Punakaiki 薄饼岩

往返3小时的Punakaiki之旅将会带您参观西海岸标志性的景点之一。Paparoa国家公园的森林一直延伸到景色壮美的塔斯曼海边。Dolomite角就是著名的薄饼岩所在地。剧烈的地壳运动造就了这里层层叠叠的石灰岩，塔斯曼海和西风又进一步在上面雕刻出吹蚀穴。

我们从格雷茅斯出发，沿着大洋路北上。除了大多数时候都能看到的塔斯曼海，途中也会经过一些当年矿工们采煤和淘金的河谷。

您有机会在沿途停车拍摄美景，或者在塔斯曼海边稍作停留。

如果时间允许，我们也可以带您前往Truman步道或者Pororari河畔观光。
